Sports Mela on Saturday : Midday to 5.00pm

The Sports Mela concentrates on health, wellbeing and participation.

Involving local sporting organisations, dancers and martial arts specialists, the Sports Mela provides space, equipment and facilities for people to watch and try out numerous fitness techniques from belly dancing to boxing, Capoiera to Tai Chi and Yoga as well as more traditional British sports such as quoits and hoopla. It also encourages healthy eating through cookery demonstrations to show how easy it is to prepare delicious, health giving foods.

Mela Weekend Attractions

Over 100 stalls make up the fabulous international bazaar where people browse their way
through stalls selling traditional crafts, delicious foods, fashion and jewels from around the
world. A truly global experience! Both days also attract numerous advice organisations
providing a welcome opportunity for members of the local community to learn about
services on offer to them. Further, a funfair is on site throughout the 2 days plus children’s
attractions such as quad biking, bouncy castles and bungee trampolines.
